One of the best ways to acquire these skills and knowledge is to watch and learn from others. Luckily, in the current world of YouTube, virtually anything you could need or want to learn is available right at your fingertips.

With more than thirty-seven thousand subscribers, Black Scout Survival is a great resource for quick tip videos, gear reviews, and longer length survival skill videos.

The quick tip videos are an excellent resource on anything and everything, from starting a fire with one hand to bypassing locks, to escaping a situation with bound hands. The gear reviews are thorough and well thought out as well. The longer videos include interviews with survival experts.

SNO Multimedia also include videos on a variety of topics, but they focus largely on two main areas:

Bugging Out and Caching

Security and Firearms.

With more than one 125 videos and 13,000 subscribers, SNO Multimedia will give you plenty of good tips for keeping yourself and your family safe and secure.

One of the things SNO Multimedia does very well is their review sections. Specifically their reviews of guns and gun accessories, such as silencers and scopes.

The engineer775 “Practical Preppers” channel is an excellent resource, especially if you have your own compound which you plan to fortify and protect.

There are almost four hundred videos on this channel, with the majority being geared toward setting up longer-term solutions for survival.

The topics are wide a varied and include things such as long-term water storage and heating, all the way to the construction of out-buildings. So if you’re planning on staying put post SHTF, then this is the channel for you.

The videos are excellently done as his ninety-five thousand plus subscribers can attest. Which makes this an excellent resource for becoming self-sufficient prior to SHTF, and surviving aftrwards.

If you’re a little more into the tactical side of survival, then the MAINEPREPPER channel may be what you are looking for.

With plenty of information on weapons and security, as well as a military tilt to surviving, this channel can provide some great information if you envisage being in a situation where tactical awareness and military like planning is vital.

In addition to the tactical side of things, MAINEPREPPER also has instructional videos on topics such as construction and small engine maintenance, for the self sufficient viewers. The construction videos include foundations, rain catchments, and installing chimney pipes also make for great viewing.

We think everyone should learn how to produce and procure your own food and Misty has more than two hundred videos that teach just that.

If you want to learn how to keep your livestock healthy and well, butcher your own livestock, when they are ready and can the vegetables you grow in the garden, this is the channel for you.

You can follow along as he builds, stockpiles, and trains for the post SHTF world. Specializing in medical emergencies, such and traumatic injuries, and the very real threat of pandemics such as Ebola.
